It was made official yesterday, I am one of the four Finnish Olympic Torch Bearers in South Korea next January. I’m doing this as a representative of FightBack association. This is such an honor, it feels unbelievable.
When I was a professional athlete, actually even before my sport was even announced as an Olympic discipline, I had a dream of participating the Winter Olympics one day. When I got injured this seriously, I thought I had to completely let go of that dream. I could never see the Olympic flame in my life… I was wrong.
This is not the same, of course, but it’s incredible. I feel myself very honored and grateful. This also gives me so much motivation to continue working this hard for FightBack. I want to give so much back for people. Thank you Finland <3 Together we can do anything.
