Pekka Hyysalo

was at the early stage of his professional skiing career when the direction of his life was changed in one second. On April 2010 he was seriously injured in a skiing accident at Ylläs, Finland. He hit his head, fell into coma for several weeks and got a high energy traumatic brain injury. Against all odds and thanks to Pekka’s will power, resilience, never give up and positive attitude he managed to fight back to a normal life.

As the fighting for AFP rankings changed into the fighting for life, also Pekka´s moral values changed. FightBack became a brand that gave Pekka a new mission in life. Today FightBack attitude encourages people with head trauma and also others in various challenging situations.
